The Ramboll Foundation aims to make a positive difference in our society through our ownership of Ramboll and through our philanthropic activities by supporting knowledge-creation to leverage innovation and engagement.

In 2024, we have focussed on how we can make a more durable impact and engage Ramboll employees in our philanthropic work. We have consulted many internal and external stakeholders around our societal mission as we developed and approved a new philanthropic direction.

With our new philanthropy strategy, we wish to work for a better society for people and nature and to contribute by addressing the major crises facing society with a regenerative approach that supports and rebuilds. We wish to actively engage Ramboll employees and relevant partners in bringing together different ideas, talents, and perspectives to tackle societal challenges.

In 2024, our philanthropic activities included financial support, totalling DKK 33m, to projects tackling challenges such as increasing urban heat, the green energy transition, social well-being in 15-minute cities, and to capacity building in areas as engineering, circular sanitation, and climate justice.

The net result for 2024 was below expectations, as a better-than-expected return on securities could not fully offset a lower-than-expected result in the Ramboll Group. In 2025, we will continue to implement the Foundation strategy with a specific focus on the societal mission and the implementation of our new philanthropy strategy.

Read much more about our financial results, philanthropy work and ambitions, and engagement activities with Ramboll employees in the full report below.
